A few years ago we drove an hour an half to go to Santa's Wonderland. While it was crowded, we thought it was really neat and decided to go back this year.
Unfortunately it was even MORE crowded this year. We went the day after Christmas and it was crazy. We waited almost 2 hours in a line to ride the hayride through the lights.
The first hour the line went right through Santa's Town so we had a lot of fun doing what we would have done anyway. They blew snow (bubbles) from the Trading Post...
The band played...
We danced...
Then we did a lot more waiting. Finally we were getting close to the hayride.
And then it was our turn. Yay!!
The hayride lights are spectacular, but we think if we go back again, because we've seen them twice now, we might just skip the lights and have fun inside Santa's Wonderland. There are a lot of other things to do that we didn't get to do because the hayride took the entire night. And we still had to drive back!
After the hayride, we warmed up with some burning hot chocolate and got hugs from Frosty.
Finally made it back home at midnight! In spite of the wait we still had a really good time. Fun little place (and it's right outside my college town!). Merry Christmas y'all!
