OK - Christmas #2 - the Big One - Christmas Morning! Is there anything greater?
Here's Reagan opening her latest puzzle. She's really into puzzles lately and is taking after Mackenzie at being a whiz at puzzles. As Reagan said herself, "I'm really good at puzzle-doing."
Here's Ashley opening up her new pillow pet. Oddly, she was the only one in the family without one. She was feeling very left out. Let me explain why she was the only one: A while back we went to Disneyland and the big girls picked out a Tigger pillow pet for Ashley & Reagan. It didn't matter at the time that there was only one. Well, then the big girls asked for pillow pets for their last birthday. At that moment Reagan decided it was really cool that they too had a pillow pet and she pretty much adopted Tigger as her own. In the last few months Ashley has become very aware that she is the only child without one. So Santa brought her bumblebee pillow pet! That Santa...somehow he always knows just the thing!
Here's Mackenzie with her new makeup set. Don't worry - we have rules regarding the makeup. It's really a neat thing as a mom to be standing in the mirror with your daughter while she gets into your makeup and you are honestly instructing her how to put it on. She seems a bit young to be interested but it's kind of fun having a girly-girl standing beside me doing it. (By the way, I was NOT a girly-girl growing up.)
Kaitlyn once again modeling her new pup! It barked and panted all night under the tree. She knew exactly what it was before it was ever opened!
One more of Ashley - the Weebles Treehouse! She loves this! She could just turn the crank for an hour - why haven't we gotten one of these before?
Mackenzie and the purple shirt she gave to Daddy (who needed one in honor of TCU). She bought it with her own money. Luckily it was on a GREAT sale!
And the Wii! We are catching up with the millenium finally. Kids weren't too sure when they opened it up but they sure do love it NOW!
And lastly...oh the headaches this caused me the week before Christmas. I don't even want to go into it but let's just say the BIKES nearly ruined my Christmas! But finally, after much stressing and 3 trips to Toys R Us and 2 wasted assembly fees later...we got the perfect bikes. Almost perfect. Now if we'd quit having cold, rainy weather so they can go ride them. Check out the trikes - Mike and I think they're the coolest trikes we've ever seen. Much better than the ones they have now - 3 yrs old and still can't really reach the peddles. Why suffer through them for another year?
Next step - big girls need to lose those training wheels!!
And there you have it! Another Christmas morning in our household!
