Despite me kind of just wanting some downtime at home, Mike and his buddies planned a trip to the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, GA at the end of December to watch TCU play Ole Miss.
It was pretty cold and wet most of the time, and for some reason the day we left my problem tooth decided to become the biggest problem yet. It really put a damper on my trip, however I was finally able to manage it and by New Years Eve I was able to enjoy the game.
In fact, we really had fun at the game. We sat with Mike's two best football buddies and their wives and we really all get along so well. Very fun time!
Here is Mike, in a scarf, with a pom pom on his head. My hot-natured husband could NOT get warm and was shivering after standing outside forever looking for people to sell his previously bought tickets to since his friend scored some free ones for all of us.
TCU absolutely killed Ole Miss. Terrible matchup. Further proof that TCU was robbed from a shot on the national championship. Travis, Mark and Mike are mocking the Ole Miss landsharks thing they do (though they are the Ole Miss Rebels?) and said that all they see are Frogsharks!!
Before 3rd quarter was over, the much larger Ole Miss crowd had cleared out significantly!
We were sitting right behind a bunch of Canadians who were just there for the heck of it. They bought Ole Miss shirts because they were read. We thought they'd get on TV...but they didn't.
Victory! Waiting for the ceremony...
And we spent New Years Eve celebrating with friends at Del Frisco's.
Turned out to be a very fun trip. I knew it would be but was just a lot to think about in the middle of all the December craziness. Warmer weather and a happy tooth would have made it even better, but...oh well! Happy 2015 everyone!
And this concludes my blog for last year. Hurray, I finally caught up!
